Working in “Control” if you try to move a post, which is going to be a common occurrence, you’re asked to supply the URL as a destination.  This seems to be a really inconvenient and time consuming activity, no?  Unless anyone has found an easier way?

… and this warning looks like a roadblock?

“Please note: you can only move the opening post of a topic if it has no visible replies. If you move the opening post from this topic, then this topic's data (including all views, tags, and other metadata) will be permanently deleted, including all trashed replies.”

How do you read this?

Just putting this here for future reference for others as I know you now knows this @NigelH:

Move: is to move a post or comment into an existing topic

Changing Rooms use the method in the screenshot

@Natan Leibzon I think we have established the rules.  The testing Elves @Susan Hope and @Anne-Mieke Bovelett did a lot of testing yesterday so, I’ll ask them to comment and share their findings.

@NigelH love being called an Elf lol

@Natan Leibzon yes we tested changing the location of a topic which all worked out and we also tested moving a topic into an existing topic as a comment, which also worked as expected, however, some notifications came through to the OP’s and some did not where we would expect a notification, have to let @Anne-Mieke Bovelett explain which ones she received notifications for :)
